There are new heaters in the 300s. I still choose not to seat people out there as guests in the booths and the 30's always complain that they are cold when the doors to the 300s are open. The cold continues to be a challenge and I had to move more than a few tables inside, even a couple of tables that had requested to sit on the patio.
Alana at the host stand on a weekend night is frankly a nightmare. She was texting on her phone at the host stand at the beginning of the shift and is slow to process direction or feedback. I request that she only be scheduled on days that typically have a slow service as she is not friendly with guests nor does she have a good work ethic in general.
Both Evan and Emma approached me about their tips. Evan said that his tips were short by $89 for this most recent pay period and Emma said hers tips were short by $110.17. I asked them both not to reach out to Marla and told them that I would bring it to Jess and that we would get to the bottom of it next week.
Evan's overall mood was very low from the moment her arrived until the moment he left. I didn't get any complaints from his guests but he seemed checked out most of the shift. Not sure if this was entirely due to the tip issue or not.
Service at Condor was smooth overall- all guests gave good feedback regarding the food.
Kirsten reported that the party went well and that everyone was happy. There was a bit of a back up in the kitchen as the entrees for the party were delayed due to speeches. Their entrees ended up being fired during out biggest rush. No one seemed to wait too long for food in Condor so all in all it all worked out. Just something to think about for future parties and timing with the kitchen, especially on weekends.
Lynn pulled Luc off of the floor multiple times to hash out her feelings. She was angry at the request to send an email regarding her resignation. She said she would be here Monday. It is unclear what her official last day will be.
The lobby had a steady stream of people from the beginning of the night to the end. There were two very large parties that came in right as I was trying to get D'ete off the floor. She ended up staying a bit longer to make sure Collin and Corinn had things handled.
I checked in with Collin at 10:30 to make sure he was doing a hard stop at 11 and he acknowledged that he had been spoken to and would make sure to stop serving at said time and break down his bar swiftly, which he did.
Everyone made a valiant effort to leave things clean and complete any and all side work after the mess that Luc was left with last night. Hopefully the enthusiasm and dedication will continue!
I was unable to print financial reports due to open checks under my number. Will attempt to connect with our micros contact to get the issue sorted on Monday.
Lastly, Luc and front dest had to kick people (who were not guests at the hotel) out of Mariposa who had made themselves comfortable on the couches with blankets and were waiting to have dinner at Condor. Perhaps we should be keeping the doors locked unless the ballroom is in use.
