1/29/26 AM NOTES

 Euro Breakfast was a little steady, a handful of guests were ordering off menu. 

Anna went home a little early, feeling under the weather again. Rolo got a little busy, so she left around 9:30. 

Marlowe was scheduled at 9, but came in at 9:27, I'll need to talk to Riley about her schedule, and if that is okay. I know when she first started she said the 9 o'clock start time was difficult with dropping off her child, and 9:15 would work better. She did arrive at 9:27, and after working on pre-shift in the office, when I came back to Cocina she told me her daughter's school called, and she needed to pick up her daughter for being sick. I told her okay, it should be fine, but we need to pay her two hours, even if she leaves early, and if she could finish up some sidework and be close to two hours. Then I realized since she was going home on her own request, and not being sent home, that the two hours wasn't an issue. She said since she was going to go pick up her sick child, that she should still be paid. I just commented that we're talking about two different things, and I think she was there for the two hours anyway at that point, and shouldn't even be a problem. She also said to me that she arrived at 9:10 or 9:15, when I checked her time, it was 9:27. Also, the sidework I had her do before leaving was put away the coffee station for euro breakfast, and she didn't know how to do it, or even realize it needed to be done. I mentioned that it's not only her responsibility, but that between her, Mia and Rolo that is should have been put away way before 11 am. I'm not sure how thorough her training was, and I haven't worked with her much, but it would be good to test/ as questions about protocols, and menu questions would be good to be tested on as well. I'm not 100% sure if she will work out, Riley I think is on the fence too. 

Rolo went on break when Mia arrived, and came back on until about 12:30, and Mia went on her own, it wasn't too busy. Mia and Satia went to the 1 pm meeting, and I handled the floor although I was busy for a few minutes being solo for running, refills, etc. but it was just a moment, and the meeting did not go too long. 

Mia and Satia finished up the shift as I went to the F&B meeting, and by time the meeting was done, the restaurant was pretty much cleaned up and ready to close up. I did see Satia talking with Grayson quite a lot, and questioned where she was on her sidework, and she said she was just about done, it would be a quick clean up for her. I do believe if she wasn't talking to Grayson she would have been done. I helped her finish up her last things, and we finished up around 3:30.
