2/1/26 AM NOTES

Anna called out late last night, and I didn't see the text until this morning. So we had Alejandra coming in at 8:30, and it was fine until that point, I tried to get Zammy to come in early, but he wasn't able to, but although Alejandra was busy, she did a great job. She need a bit of assistance, but that was to be expected, and the morning felt smooth.

We moved into the lunch shift and it stayed steady. Zammy had a party of 11 at 11:30, they took most of his section, so Alejandra had most of the other tables of walk-ins in her section, and Sydney was at the pool. Alejandra had to leave by 12:45 or so for another commitment, she was scheduled until 12, so she stayed a little longer to help us out. So Sydney took over her section, as well as take the pool, in this process table 35 was overlooked, which is one of our regulars, she is so nice, but still quite a bummer that they were overlooked. They had water filled, most likely from Sundji, so it was hard to tell that they hadn't been helped. We recovered, and they went on to the property after ordering lunch and fed the turtles, and loved it. We also bought a carrot cake for their birthday guest, and they left happy. I would say after this point though we got pretty busy, and Sydney couldn't actually finish up the tables that were transferred to her, or start any new ones, because the pool was busy. Zammy took a 6 top inside, and Danny but was busy as well. So I finished up Sydney's tables, and we soon got back on track, but it did feel stressful for a moment.

Satia was bartending, and still not paying attention to where she could fill in when we get busy, but I told her a few times to at least run the drinks she put up in the window. She will do anything you ask of her, but it would be so nice to have her instinctively do that, Ruben had that quality, and Erick is doing well with that too. Satia was also caught on her phone during service behind the bar (I spoke to Riley already about it), but something she has trouble with, and I let her know it's unacceptable especially on the floor, and possibly where guests could see.

Once we caught up on the floor, I had Zammy take any new tables since it was 2:30, and quiet on the floor at that point, Sydney finished up with guests at the pool.

We closed down soon after 3:30 or 4.

Zammy has really been stepping it up, and I will sit him down the next time we work to let him know I recognize his effort, and he always says yes to helping, and is great about doing sidework. On Saturday he was scheduled at 9 and stayed until 5 to finish up and help at the pool.

Naomi implemented the Resy guest recognition, she did a great job, and gave me 3 chits during service for any VIP's, which gave me an opportunity to welcome them in, and ask how their stay has been, or just chek in and make sure they were happy with breakfast. I will say though that she quoted another guest a 10 minute wait for an outside table, and it was way off, there was more like a 45 minute wait depending on where all our guests were in their service. I will show her tricks on knowing how to put someone on a wait time, and how you decipher how long it might be.

The only void was the carrot cake
