Angela texted me midday to check in on reservations and volunteered off. We split the restaurant evenly between Evan and Keegan.
Lauren pointed out that there was un unopened can of La Playa beer in side of a locker in the employee locker room. Concerning.
Cut Chad just before 6.
Brooke came in with her family, many of whom are staying at the hotel. I helped them with wine selections and Keegan did an excellent job with everything else. They seemed to have a great meal!
I was glad I caught Brooke on her own before she sat as I wasn't sure about the protocol for employee discounts with larger party checks (it was a party of 8). I also wasn't sure if she would want me to drop a check at all as she usually likes to put things on her account. She asked me to give her the usual 50% employee discount and to drop the check.
Keegan brought it to my attention that our menu that lives online needs to be updated.
Noticed that Jean put it in the Bar chat that the ceiling in the Snug is dirty and that recent patrons had commented on it. Is this something we can ask housekeeping to help us with?

Also, Chad and Erick asked me about Chad covering a shift in Cocina for Erick. Chad said it would put him 6 days but he has been cut early on many shifts so he would be fine in terms of hours. I said most likely it would be fine...
I was asked by Evan if they are able to start putting an automatic gratuity on tables of 6 or more. I told him that we need to start printing it on the menu before that can happen (as that was what I/we were told). Do we have the go ahead to start doing this?
The server report situation is a bit unhinged. Should I walk them all over to Brooke/Marla tomorrow?
